Hi, my name is Emily and I am so excited to be joining the DWSP team!
I initially heard about speech pathology after gaining the courage to talk to someone on the bus when making my way from Melbourne to Mildura (pre-licence days!). I always knew that I wanted to help and to work with people, however through my research of possible University degrees, could not figure out exactly what it was that I wanted to do.
Once I started my degree, I was so glad that I talked to the person on the bus. I found a passion for working within the speech pathology field and knew that it was the right path for me! Through my subsequent years working, I found a passion for supporting children and families to reach their goals and participate in their chosen environments.
When I am not working, you can find me reading a good book with my cats or hanging out with my friends. Recently, I have found enjoyment in bouldering and Pilates.
I am so excited to be working with the team at DWSP and continuing to develop my skills as a clinician.
