Gareth Lloyd
Speech Pathologist
Gareth graduated with a degree in Speech Pathology from James Cook University (JCU) in 2013. Since then, he has worked with Queensland Health as a speech pathologist in rural Queensland before returning to James Cook University for further study in Law and to work in the JCU Speech Pathology Department. His JCU work included being a clinical educator in the JCU clinic, being the lead clinical educator and managing the JCU internal clinics, lecturing in linguistics, lecturing in clinical practice, and lecturing in ethics and health Law. In 2022 he also became an admitted lawyer with the Queensland Supreme Court, although his truest passion lies in speech pathology.
In February 2023, Gareth moved to Melbourne where he started a role with DWSP. Gareth sees clients across the lifespan and has professional interests in literacy, speech, language, voice, transgender voice needs, fluency, and social skills. Gareth can be found in our Northcote, Coburg, and Footscray clinics, as well as running sessions via telehealth.
