Amanda joins our Speech team!

Hello! My name is Amanda and I’m excited to begin my journey into speech pathology at Dee Wardrop. I grew up in Christchurch, New Zealand and now happily call Melbourne home. Weekends for me mean spending time with my partner and 3-year-old, exploring museums, galleries, restaurants, playgrounds and nature. I’m passionate about living a healthy lifestyle, spending time with friends, cooking, bike riding and having downtime watching my favourite shows or crafting.

My background is in teaching English as an additional language to both children and adults in Vietnam and in Melbourne. While I loved teaching, I wanted to find additional ways to help others communicate to the very best of their ability, which led me to speech pathology. I am particularly interested in helping children speak clearly and finding the best way to communicate (verbally or nonverbally). I strive to help children, adults and families find ways to achieve their goals in creative and fun ways.

I look forward to all the clients and families I will meet at Dee Wardrop, and helping find what works best for each individual.
