Meet and Greet with Annaliese

How long have you been with DWSP?

For just over 6 years.

In a couple of sentences, talk us through your role with DWSP.

I work as one of the Speech Pathologists in the team here at DWSP. I see clients both at schools and the Thornbury clinic and I work with a wide range of children who have communication difficulties, including hearing loss and speech delay.

What is your favourite part of the role?

I love working with the children and seeing them improve. In particular it’s wonderful to see some of my longer term kids grow up and mature, and to develop a long term relationship with parents, siblings and the whole family!

Where did you grow up?

Melbourne’s Eastern Suburbs

Before DWSP, what was the most interesting or unusual job you’ve ever had?

Nothing too interesting, I worked at Priceline when I was at Uni and enjoyed umpiring netball (though not the 8am games in Winter!).

What are you favourite hobbies outside of work?

I love singing in choirs, playing netball, travelling and having cups of tea with friends!

If you could be a superhero, what would your superpower be?

I wish I could fly, how Amazing would that be!
